The third largest city of South Africa’s can be found in the South-western province of West Cape. Cape Town, its capital, has a population of 2.375.910 people. Many foreign nationals have started living here, which provides Cape Town with an international cultural appeal. This political headquarter (“Houses of Parliament”) is located right in the center of the city and is open for visitors. There are also several other popular attractions and sights, including the “Table Mountain”, “Robben Island”, which used to be the place where Nelson Mandela was imprisoned and the “Victoria and Alfred Waterfront” – a restored waterfront which offers countless shopping opportunities and restaurants. There, you will also be able to find the “Two Oceans Aquarium”, which offers insight into the eco systems of South Africa’s rivers and oceans, including live rays and sharks. The city center of Cape Town also offers several museums and historical landmarks, such as the “Castle of Hope”, South Africa’s oldest building. On occasion, you should also visit “City Hall”, the national gallery and the national museum. In 2006, 2007, 2008 and 2009 Cape Town was ranked as one of the world’s top-ten best cities to visit in Travel & Leisure’s.
Unlike a Hotel
The big question: which loft do you choose?
Because that’s what you get when you stay here...every room is authentically true to the original layout of this industrial space. We retained the rough finishes and singular styles, but added a level of luxury that will make your urban experience extra exceptional. Complementing the concrete floors, exposed ceilings and metal-framed windows are a host of personalised nuances to make it provocative, atypical…unlike a conventional hotel.
It’s in the details. And Hotel QSL is overflowing with them. Little wonder, because it was conceived and created by the people behind Row-G, the world-renowned made-to-measure menswear brand. The showroom is just upstairs. So on the one hand there’s an ethos of well-considered service and sublime aesthetics, and on the other you’re downtown, in touch with Joburg’s unforeseen inner city.
Hotel QSL is uncompromising in its raw realness. And it doesn't compromise when it comes to indulgent comforts. It’s where you belong. Welcome.
The Hotel has different types of rooms available; all of them are comfortable and feature all you need for your stay: choose the right room for your needs.
Serenely private escape.
Quiet and contemplative, this secluded space is perfect for a bit of introspection…or if you just need some extra privacy. Tucked away with a secluded, slate bathroom, you can cut off the outside world and just be.
Bold old-world charm.
A voluminous space with a high-rise bathroom and original old-world fittings, this room sits on its own on the ground floor, offering peaceful privacy. A unique apartment with a strong, bold character.
Uplifting asymmetrical aesthetics.
Bold and authentic, with the elevator shaft as a central feature, this room has a huge window overlooking Milpark, allowing natural light to flow. Quirky, with asymmetrical aesthetics, it is rounded off with a warm, spacious bathroom.
Absorb the urban energy.
With one wall being a massive, angled window, this room opens up onto the deck, with views out over the bustling Media Mill. It’s an energetic, inspirational space with a close-up perspective of its urban setting.
Queen of Inner-city delights.
Tight, intimate and all you need for a few nights downtown, this is a room built around a queen-sized bed, with unmatched views over gritty inner-city architecture. A high ceiling and sizable bathroom round it off.
Bask in the city's golden glow.
Abundant sunlight and a wide-open layout connect this space with the world outside, with views over Milpark and onto 44 Stanley. Admire it all from your balconette, or lie back and relax in the bath, the only one in the hotel.
